No video in kaffeine or dragonplayer after upgrade.

I have mentioned this on other threads, but I feel this is the right place for it.
After upgrading the wife's kubuntu from intrepid to jaunty, there is no picture when playing back avi-files. Only a blue screen in the mediaplayers. I have tried repairing broken packages in recovery mode, but it did no good. Could some codecs be missing? How can I find out?

The apt-get install line mentioned here for your computer and OD should get it.

    Edit2: Sorry meant OS.

Are you referring to the "32 bit kubuntu users" line? I ran the command, but the screens are still blue.

I have tried booting with an older kernel, but that didn't work either. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the mediaplayers. I ran a fsck in recovery mode, which gave me a "no final newline" error. Could that be part of my problem?

        Here is my fstab:
        # /etc/fstab: static file system information.

        # <file system> <mount point> <type> <options> <dump> <pass>
        proc /proc proc defaults 0 0
        # /dev/sda2

When you run Dragon for the first time an 'upgrade' cog icon appears in the system tray. Just click on it and it will offer to install the necessary non-free codecs. It will then be fine.

For Kaffeine, I found the required plugins via the KPackageKit (I think it was Kaffeine-gstreamer).

No such thing happened in dragonplayer. I have installed the gstreamer-plugin, but then it would not even find the sound-drivers. Otherwise I get no error-reports, just the blue screen and the sound from the file.
