How to install Joomla with Kubuntu Jaunty?

PHP5 and apache2 are automatically installed with Kubuntu Jaunty. However, MySQL doesn't seem to be, altho the installation said that Amarok uses it. Neither Synaptic nor dpkg find it, tho.

If I install XAMPP, it's going to replace some of what is already installed and works, isn't it?

So how to get the system ready for a Joomla install? Is it enough to install mysql-server and mysql-client? If so, 5.0 or 5.1?

    Thanks in advance.
