[SOLVED] Trackpoint scroll T400 Lenovo 9.04 64 bit

Has anyone enabled the Trackpoint on Lenovo T (T400) series on Kubuntu 9.04 64 bit?

I have tried the mod in Hal stated here: http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/Install_Ubuntu_8.10_(Intrepid_Ibex)_on_a_Thinkpad_ T400
Without luck. It states that: "Update: This does not seem to work on 64bit versions of Intrepid. See this bug for a fix using a backported driver from Jaunty." But I am using Jaunty.....??

Any hints?

In the comments you can find the solution for 64-bit. It sounds somewhat like this:

sudo apt-get build-dep xserver-xorg-input-evdev; apt-get source xserver-xorg-input-evdev; cd xserver-xorg-input-evdev-2.0.99+git20080912; bash autogen.sh --prefix/usr;./configure; make; sudo make install

I don't think you need the preinit.diff (it is fixed in the latest download above...)

My trackpoint scroll works now like a charm..
