kmail does not store default language for spell checking

When I set the default language to ´dutch´ kmail spell checks the e-mail correct. But after I send the e-mail and try to create a new e-mail message the default language is back to ´bulgarian´. Am I doing somthing wrong?

In other KDE applications, like Kopete, everything is fine and the default language is set the ´dutch´.
