Can't add widgets to panel

Looks like there's a regression of some sort. I just installed kubuntu-desktop from scratch (did a netinstall) and when I try to add widgets to the panel the widget window pops up for less than a second and then just disappears. There are no further dialogs, errors, nothing else happens.

As a workaround, try adding widgets by right-clicking on empty space in the panel and choose 'add widgets' from the context menu.

(There seems to be a bug you described when trying to add widgets via the configuration bar that pops up when you click the plasma "cashew" on the panel.)

Thanks, that works. It also is possible to add it by dragging from the add widgets dialog called from the top right corner menu..

It's just a silly imperfection which I hope is fixed in final.
