Hello all, I just installed kubuntu 9.04 and have had the same problem I've had with every other KDE 4.2 distro I've used, audio CD's won't mount but data CD's even DVD movies will I think they worked for me in KDE 4.1, I'm certain the worked in 3.x.. Does anyone know what the problem is.

Re: Can't Listen To Music From CD's!!
I ran into this also. It seems that be default they do not include a CD player.
sudo aptitude install kdemultimedia
will drag in kscd. My experience previously was that it would not actually play a cd until in installed libcdaudio1
sudo aptitude install libcdaudio1
Then because that player did not allow me to choose which cd to play from
sudo aptitude install vlc
Some or all of that should get you playing CDs.

Re: Can't Listen To Music From CD's!!
Dolphin doesn't show audio CDs for some reason. If you want to play CDs then Exaile or Banshee are pretty good. Amarok used to be the best but since version 2 it no longer works and they still seem to be deciding whether to add CD support or not.
