MPEG slideshow

Hi All

One thing I have done on a number of occasions is to create an MPEG slideshow, that is to make a film out of a series of pics with Music in the background. I used to use digikam for this but the kde4 version of kipi plugins does not support it yet (I'm told it's a couple of months away).

Can anyone suggest an alternative method of doing this in the meantime please?

With a gui:

avidemux-qt (Qt version for Microsoft Windows or Linux/BSD with KDE 4)
