No controls in VLC full screen mode

I upgraded to 9.04 when the beta was released. Everything seems good except VLC media player.
In full screen mode the controls don't show when I move the mouse. I am not sure if this is a bug or this feature needs to be enabled in some way I can't figure out.
Anyone else having this problem, or solved it?

Same with me. And my video output is detached from controls.

Add this to your software list:
