    kscreensaver locks screen when set not to.

    As the topic states, I have my screensaver set NOT to lock my screen however any time it activates I have to give it my password.

    I have even attempted deleting ~/.kde/share/config/kscreensaverrc and resetting the screensaver settings via System Settings.

    ~/.kde/share/config/kscreensaverrc currently contains:
    Code:
    [ScreenSaver]
    Enabled=true
    Lock=false
    LockGrace=60000
    PlasmaEnabled=false
    Saver=lament.desktop
    Timeout=900
    Any ideas would be appreciated.

    I have the same problem and have tried every thing I know (which an't much) to stop this action.

      Still no word on this issue?

      theories and guesses are welcome, as are general trouble shooting tips.

        I just looked at System Settings->Advanced->Power Management and It seems a little more complete now. Not only is there a "Lock Screen on resume" to uncheck but then you can select "Edit Profiles" and in there youcan select some options. For instance in my Performance profile I have When laptop lid closed and a drop box that is set to Lock screen. It can be changed though.
