I am running the latest version of 9.04 without any glitches and problems. Even network-manager works for a change.
I am also able to access partitions on a separate hard drive. The files on my 1Gig USB memory stick are available and can be opened.
However, I cannot save any of the files back after opening them.
Error: Insufficient permission.
This problem occurred a long time ago with a combination of fat32 and NTFS files systems. Since I installed 9.04 on a ext4 partition, I presume that this problem is of a similar nature to the fat32/NTFS conflict.
How does one get around this?
I already attempted to change file permissions and 'chown'. No success.
Thanks for any constructive input.
