[FEATURE REQUEST] Please include Kcalc in base installation
Re: [FEATURE REQUEST] Please include Kcalc in base installation
doesn't it contain SPEEDCRUNCH ?
Though my personal preference lies with Kcalc also...
Once your problem is solved please edit the first post of your topic and add [SOLVED] in front of the subject. In that way, others can benefit from your experience!
Re: [FEATURE REQUEST] Please include Kcalc in base installation
Speedcrunch is actually more powerful, if you give it a chance. You just have to learn to do a few things differently with it.
Speedcrunch has history (which you can save/load/export), you can add numbers of varying formats together without changing modes (0x9 + 1 + 0b1), you can jump around in the input and insert/delete, it includes more complex functions than those found in KCalc, (acos, arcosh, binompmf, cbrt....) and it contains mathmatical references for geometric equations and scientific constants.
That said, Speedcrunch is not an analogue for a handheld calculator... and that's what new users are looking for on most occasions. I'd have no problem with KCalc being included too - it doesn't take up much space and could be removed with a single command.
