[SOLVED] Crashes while watching DVD ISOS

[Update: Uninstalling PulseAudio solved the issue !!!]

    Hi

I keep copies of my DVD's (mostly mini-dvd's from the camcorder) as ISO images, which are played just fine in 32 bit (using VLC, mplayer, etc). However, in 64 bit I either get a crash or, some times, in mplayer, a corrupted video (random colors in a pixelized image and no sound).

Is anyone watching DVD's in 64 bit? What could be wrong? I have all the restricted stuff installed, I think:

    Code:
    lmilano@grisell:~$ dpkg --get-selections |grep -i dvd
    dvd+rw-tools install
    libdvdcss2 install
    libdvdnav4 install
    libdvdread4 install
    lsdvd install
    Code:
    kubuntu-restricted-extras install
    linux-restricted-modules-2.6.28-11-server install
    linux-restricted-modules-common install
    linux-restricted-modules-server install
    Any ideas? Thank you!

Re: Crashes while watching DVD ISOS

An update: watching DVD's directly off of the DVD drive also produces a crash in vlc. However, I was able to watch one particular DVD that I just tried (maybe it uses a different encoding?)

I am at a loss, this is a fresh install of 9.04 64 bit

For anyone having the same issue: Uninstalling PulseAudio fixed the problem.
