Hey, again!
Another problem with Jaunty, regarded to processor scaling, I think...
The processor is AMD Athlon 64 x2 4200+, but I downloaded a 32 bit version, because of low torrent speeds in 64bit torrent. I installed the OS while mine Cool'n'quiet was turned off, and the OS worked fine, installed fine, everithing was fine exceptfor the VLC installation issue I posted in the software thread. But now I have decided to turn on the cool'n'quiet feature (processor scaling) and I can't boot into Kubuntu Jaunty. It freezes on boot or it restarts in the same time every time. Even tried to reinstall (thought it was broken) but I got the same behavior, it locked the system in the same spot as while booting to installed OS, but now in liveCD feature. Couldn't install it, or run a liveCD session, or boot into existing installation. Then I turned off the cool'n'quiet feature and the existing installation booted just fine, and works just fine I am dualbooting Win7, and it has no issues with this, works whether this feature is on or off, also Ubuntu 8.10 worked fine.
Is there a bug with cool'n'quiet support for AMD?
I am using Alpha 4.
