DSL disabled tab on the window for managing networks

Hi, I am having trouble to connect to the internet with kubuntu 9.04. I am sure that the line is in the computer and that i can connect through another OS, but with kubuntu managing networks window, the DSL tab is disabled, so i cannot configure my connection.

does your dsl connection have a router? if so you should be able to connect via normal wired connection.
