Problems with plasma widget network manager - using mobile carrier

Hi

I'm used to using kppp to connect to internet and when I upgraded from 8.04 to 9.04, I found the new plasma widget network manager.

I tried to configure my cell for internet connection, it finds the phone but does not connect to internet. From what I've read, I am not the only one having difficulties with the new widget (from what I've read there are even bigger problems with WiFi..)

The only way that I am able to connect is via KPPP.

Is it possibile to configure the widget?

So far I've found the best solution to be scrap the widget and use the old knetworkmanager - not QT4, not as pretty, but at least it works!
