BTW - As usual.. KpackageKit had problems installing it while just doing a apt-get install did the job. This should not be like that...

I've never had a problem with kpackagekit, but I prefer Synaptic so I installed it and use it. It seems to do a better job with "Blocked" updates by resolving dependencies and allowing them to be installed.
