[SOLVED]Cant change user image

Hi everyone
I have one problem with my jaunty
I am not able to change my user picture.
When I try to changa t, It shows "It has been disabled by your administrator"
Please tell some solution........

Try Alt-F2 "kdesudo dbus-launch systemsettings"

I think that's how I got it to work.

No i tried this. Its still showing "Your administrator has disallowed changin your image"

OK, let's try this. Open a Konsole window, and do

sudo su

{give the admin password}

now

dbus-launch systemsettings

and post back with any errors that you see. After you have finished fiddling with the user image, "Apply", then close out of system settings, and exit the konsole -- don't do anything else while you're "su".

No!!

From Rog131's first link:

Did you activated user image in KDM as root?
Login in as root, in System Settings->Advanced->Login Manager->Users->User
Image Source activate User

All this means, is:

K > System Settings > Advanced > Login Manager (here is where you have to provide your 'root' password) > Users > User Image Source (ensure that System is checked) > User Images > User > and select your user name

Then select an image. Then under User Image Source check User and the click on Apply and OK.

User Image Source (ensure that System is checked)

You can also select "User,System", that way users can set their own images (which takes preference over the system set image)

By default, the X server does not allow connections from root. There are ways around that, but this is IMO the wrong way to go about it.
Just run systemsettings normally (or with kdesudo systemsettings) and change the Advanced>LoginManager settings (do not try to set an image before you have changed "User Image Source" to "User,System" and applied)
