    installing samba on ubuntu 9.04

    k, ive installed 9.04 and i want to use it as a file server, its saying samba is installed but i cant seem to access its options??

      i have tried seaching for the kdenetwork filesharing and it doesnt show up in the search results??
      is there something i need to do first??

        Are you sure you're searching for kdenetwork-filesharing (separated by a hyphen, not a space)?

          yes i have tried searching for it, it does not appear in my list. is there someway i have to add more sources or something

            Check the Settings in KPackageKit and choose Edit Sources. Here's what I have ticked:

            Kubuntu Software: Everything except Source Code.
