question about upgrade from 8.04 to 9.04

I'm just curious as to what kde4 retains/changes in my settings (currently running 3.5.10)

    - will my kdm themes still work ? (longshot, but..)
    - i was hoping to retain some widget styles I installed. I suppose there's little backward compatibility
    - is my home folder affected ? I'm guessing KDE4 will touch the Desktop folder. Anything else ?

Of course, these are minor issues and I'll backup, but an answer will save me some time. Thanks in advance !

follow-up that might be of interest:

I'm happy to say that my settings did transfer (appearence, icon theme, Kicker menu items, apps settings go without saying), so much so that some KDE components were not installed after the upgrade (KPackageKit, systemsettings, and some widgets), the icons were messed up because it was still using the old theme, the Kicker menu is a bit mixed-up, and I have to modify grub menu.lst for the new kernel. At first I actually thought that I've been left with a broken install of KDE :P. The only thing not working is of course the old splash screen.
So the upgrade was a success. Now back to customizing

      Cheers !
