kdm & gdm

ok all ..............O ya I was wandering how to boot into gdm when I'm loging into gnome ?

ok so let me explane further ..........I have 9.04 jauntey and KDE4.2.2 BUT sence KDE4 is kinda hevey on my old i810 graficks I'v installed some lighter window manager's (gnome,xfce4,fluxbox,and 1-2 more) and thay all work fine.

however when gnome was installing it's 387 packeges I got a prompt to chose kdm or gdm for the default display manager.
I chose kdm sence it is Kubuntu after all and gnome was a test.
but now I see that gnome works well and wile in kdm so I want to see how it will behave in gdm sence it is instaled eneyway !!

and if I do boot into gnome on gdm am I still in kubuntu or ubuntu ?........

SO the queshton is what can I add to the grub boot line at boot (of corse vinny ) to load gdm insted of kdm ?? ..........or a file to edit some ware so I can try gnome with gdm.

but I would still like to know a boot string if posabel...to put in the grub boot line.

and the gdm login screen looks cool 8)

but I'm not seeing eney real perfomence differences in gnome gdm ver. gnome kdm and gnome kdm was onley slitley better than kde4 kdm.................fluxbox kdm was notesabley lighter though.

well I gess that's enuff playing around for the night............LOL
