On a few machines I've tried installing 9.04 I run across an issue where the machine locks down at boot. The only way to recover is to turn the system off. However, of course, it keeps doing this. No way of getting it to boot with this lernel. One such system is a Dell Inspiron 2650 PIV 2GHz machine. It has 512 MB RAM(its MAX) and a NVIDA GO Graphics video controller. With removing "quiet splash" from GRUB boot it appears to stop at a pci discovery section. Specifically each time @ CARDBUS Bridge and PCI Bridge at the PREFETCH window section. I've looked around and not found anything that would help, even the ACPI settings. Any one else? Know how to fix this? Kernel 2.6.27-14 work perfectly with the machines. Thanks for any help!
