Trying to enable smoother graphics with Compiz.
It is possible when I add
Option "AccelMethod" "uxa" to the Device section of the Xorg.
Helps prevent scrambled images when using compiz.
However whenever I do this I loose the splash on shutdown and the consoles ctlr & Alt & f1, f2.....
I have Intel Integrated Graphics 855gm on tosh laptop Sat Pro A40.
Has anyone ever had a similar issue.
Xorg.conf is like a finely tuned instrument and any change can really screw it up!!
