Installer stuck on resizing partition

My installer has been stuck on resizing partition for a good 15+ minutes. It's still at 0%.

I have a windows XP install using up a good 135GB or so of space. My HDD is 350GB but with the overhead its around 320GB total size.

I have no idea why the setup is frozen. I can still move my mouse, click on icons. Etc. But it wont go up even 1%.

Any ideas?.

Exactly why I always do the partitioning as a separate step before running ANY OS installer, and using GParted Live CD.

So... is my windows XP partition gone?. I really don't want to close setup suddenly..

Eh... I can no longer resize the partition so I'm guessing its damaged.

Shame.

I guess I'll just install Kubuntu on the entire disk..

Btw, i just ran the livecd rather then just trying to install. -WOW- you guys(or the kde team) turned KDE around and made it look MUCH better. IMHO I can now use KDE without getting a headache from the ugly colors and icons. I can now use this without having to worry about switching to Gnome later on.

I really hated the old KDE theme/look... loved the functions though.

Can you change your installer around so it has a big old warning sign come up. Particularly like this.. "WARNING: RESIZING THE PARTITION COULD RESULT IN DATA LOSS, OR CORRUPTION. PLEASE USE THE GPARTED LIVECD TO RESIZE THIS PARTITION".

It can take a very long time to resize an XP partition.
