    issues after upgrading to 9.04

    Hi,
I have just upgraded my Intrepid to Jaunty and I have several issues by now

First, some of items disappeared from kick off. For example Settings -> System settings. This item is visible in the menu editor as it is visible in Classic menu. How come it disappeared?

Second, I was looking forward for KDE 4.3 in Jaunty. Should I wait?

You can install it from synaptic.

    Type systemsettings & install it!

There is also a note on the original Kubuntu website where you did do your upgrade:

If you get an error stating one of these possibilities:
-Upgrading to a pre-release version of Ubuntu
-Running the current pre-release version of Ubuntu
-Unofficial software packages not provided by Ubuntu

    try executing the following:

'sudo dpkg --configure -a' in a terminal.

Afterwards, reboot, and try the upgrade again. This should help to fix any broken packages that are missing due to upgrade problems.

But the "systemsettings" command does work. When I enable the classic menu, I can see the item. Its not visible ONLY in kick off.

I attached my screen capture where there is nothing in the kickoff, however the systemsettings window is running. Couldn't capture the classic menu where this item is visible.

      Cheers.

Finally I managed to get the capture of both menus. Please have a look.

The manu item in System -> System settings is missing in the kick off. How to enable it? It is visible in the classic menu (see attachment 1) but not visible in the kickoff (see attachment 2).

According to menu editor it should be there (see attachment 2).

I DO have the systemsettings INSTALLED.

          Anybody has any idea? Thanks.
