New install of 9.04. The only screen saver option available from the display setup is "Blank screen". If I click the "OpenGL" option I get nothing. Where did they all go?
AMD Athlon 64 4800x2 ; Biostar Tforce 550 ; 2gb ; dual-boot Kubuntu 8.04 & Kubuntu 9.04; Dual-boot XP & Vista.
I had this same problem. I'm curious, why would an OS not include some sort of screen saver?? I know people may want their preferred screen saver, but it seems to me something should come standard.
I can see where they may not want it to be too big to fit on a CD, but is having a screensaver going to be what makes or breaks that?
I'd rather have a screen saver by default than have wobbly windows and the ability have them blow up when I close them. Those features are cool, but I'd prefer to have to install them instead. But that's just my personal preferences.
