In Windows, I am using a program called Remote Helpdesk. It has a bit more features than VNC and has been a great tool for me.
But now I am facing a new challenge. I have friends that want Kubuntu installed and they will need help.
So I am wondering what my options are.
I know about VNC and I guess there is a way to just connect remotely with a VNC client.
BUT - I have an additional need here. We are both behind routers with NAT, and none of us can control the routers at the moment (the ISP owns and operates them in this area of Brazil... >
). So is there a way to connect with some kind of "middle man" to be able to give them help when they need it? This could be a great project to add to KDE and a great "sales argument" - "If you use Kubuntu, I will be able to help you when you need, even if you are half way around the earth".
It could be an addon to Kopete so you can initiate a remote session through the contact there. Of course using Jabber as the "middle man"...
Any other ideas?
