If installing Jaunty Jackalope 9.04 beta....

    Hi,
If I install Jaunty Jackalope beta will I be able to upgrade to the latest
when the release is done on 23rd april without any issues ? I mean
I wouldn't want to have any stale library files lying around when I also
have the latest files ( after the upgrade on 23rd ). I would assume
it will be good ...but I don't know much about distribution or library
    management.

    Thanks & Regards,
    Maindoor.

Well, it is my plan to treat Jaunty like a rolling update, and continue with the updates right on to April 23rd, and on, without doing a fresh install of the release version. IF anything, I may have to add/change/remove some repository sites.

As of today, April 11, 2009, following the updates this morning, my Jaunty install is perfect.

Jaunty is still beta, so all beta warnings still apply (unexpected breakage may still occur before the release). It is feature frozen, so I wouldn't expect anything major at this stage (but I guess that's why it's called 'unexpected breakage' :P).

        That shouldn't be a problem.
