Alpha3 i3386 Desktop live CD

Hello,

Booted the CD in "try it out" mode. I have a problem in this mode which is putting me off trying to install it. When I click on the thing which brings up the menu (bottom left), all I get is a black frame with no menu items. Does this work properly when the OS is running from hard disk?

Do you have alpha3 CD ? That is a bit old. There are daily snaphots > Daily Build and very soon (?) alpha 4 > Topic: Jaunty Release Schedule, Plans, KDE 4.2 / ALPHA 4

The pre-release images are known to be reasonably free of major undocumented CD-build or installer bugs, however they are not recommended for use in stable environments. These releases will be for those who are developing, documenting, and testing.
