That's funny, I still get the mismatch error if I remove the "IgnoreABI" option in xorg.conf

I probably shouldn't have said "compatible" the way I did. You do still need the "IgnoreABI" option, but installing the new Xorg will at least no longer remove the glx package. Also, they don't seem to have any problem with console sessions.

The Xorg API still hasn't solidified, so don't look for nVidia to release a version that does not require "IgnoreABI" until after that happens.
