No Sound From Headphone Jack

I have an Everex Gbook with Jaunty installed.

I have opened Kmix and enabled all the sliders but I don't have a headphone slider. I have turned them all up, but still no sound.

When I plug in the headphones the sound turns off from the internal speakers, but the headphones are silent.

Is there a config file where I can manually enable/turn up my headphone volume?

I am not having any luck with this. Maybe the hardware is broken, eh.

Anyone got any ideas?

Is it possible to add a headphone channel if you open kmix (the speaker icon in the tray) and select Settings -> Configure Channels...
