    Not a bad idea, but you need to be comfy doing things in the command line, as you might lose the display temporarily:

    Otherwise, I'd just install on top ...

      Yeah I'm OK with the command line. I've broken KDE so much I've been baptized by fire with it.

      Thanks for all the help, I'll likely play with it more this weekend. Here's hoping!
