webcam settings [solved]

i can't figure out where i can change webcam settings [resolution, frame rate,
brightness, contrast, saturation, hue, gamma, etc.] so that these changes will be effective for Skype. model: Genius iSlim 1320 [UVC compliant]. any ideas?

solution

1. install guvcview either from source or from a deb file [you can download it at http://developer.berlios.de/project/...group_id=8179]

2. start it as follows:

guvcview --control_only

that's all ;-) any changes take effect in Skype instantly
