I am a new Linux user. I am running a Macbook Pro with dual boot to Leopard and Jaunty Jackalope via rEFIt.
I've got most things working properly by following:

However, my sound only goes through one speaker, and I cannot get the speakers to turn off when I have headphones on. Also, sometimes, like now, there is no sound at all. In addition, the red lazer that is for digital out is always on. Does anyone have any recommendations for troubleshooting these issues?
