I just updated my system from Kubuntu 8.10 to 9.04.
After the initial reboot X wouldn't load. I rebooted and ran recovery. Now I get to the graphical login screen but mouse and keyboard are frozen.
I don't know if it is related but I tried "apt-get update" at the CLI to see if there was an update that would fix the problem and got an error saying it could not connect to ubuntu's servers.
