Nvidia TV out - Separate X window does not work - Twinview works fine

    Hello Jackalope forum,

I installed Kubuntu Jackalope 9.04 and I can not get a separate X window in my TV using Nvidia's TV out feature. Twinview works fine but I would rather have a separate X window. The TV screen is black with only an x where the mouse arrow should be. I had this same problem with Kubuntu 8.10 and had to abandon it for that reason. The problem does not exists in Kubuntu 8.04 and I heard it might have something to do with incompatibilities with the newer versions of xorg but I do not know how accurate that info is. The problem persists no matter which version of the Nvidia display driver I use. I have the Geforce 7600GT video card.

Below is my xorg.conf file. Can anybody help me?

    Roy

Re: Nvidia TV out - Separate X window does not work - Twinview works fine

    I'm back.

I just found out from another forum that KDE 4 does not support multiple X screens so that explains everything. The code is simply not there.

    All the best,
    Roy
