Since upgrading to Jaunty last week, I've noticed some strange graphic problems which may or may not be an ATI Radeon driver problem.
1. Sometimes my desktop background image will bleed through the menu bar of some applications. More accurately, it seems like the menu bar and the buttons aren't drawn on the screen and I'm left looking at part of the desktop background. If I mouse over that section, the menu bar and buttons appear. Sometimes just temporarily. I've noticed this in several apps including Ktorrent, Eric4, and Dolphin, I think.
2. Sometimes I'll just get a mangled display on portions of my screen. This usually happens with a video on a page in Firefox or an Adobe AIR app. Possibly other apps, but these are the ones I've noticed it with. I sometimes switch my computer to "tv-out" mode to output video to my TV and then back and I'm wondering if this may be related. (See image) Restarting seems to fix the problem for a while. (By the way, the gray video artifact obscuring part of the web page is Ksnapshot. KDE left that there, further demonstrating the problem.)
3. This is more of a slight annoyance and seems to have started when I upgraded to KDE 4.2 a few months ago. When I reboot the computer and go through the login process, KDE will briefly flash a snapshot of whatever was on my screen before rebooting and then display the normal KDE desktop boot graphics. Not a big deal, but a strange annoyance.
4. A problem I've had since upgrading to KDE 4.2 is that KDE moves my plasmoids and seems to create desktop boundaries in the upper-left of the screen after coming out of TV-out mode. See my other post for more specifics (http://kubuntuforums.net/forums/inde...opic=3101354.0).
Any help or suggestions is appreciated!
