Hi,
I have a minor problem with my Kubuntu (intrepid - updated all the way from edgy, KDE 4.2.2). When the system starts, the login screen comes up, but it gets no input form keyboard or mouse. It has happenned before from time to time, but now (since i installed wicd, I guess) it happens every time I start.
It can of course be easily solved by going into the terminal and kill/start kdm, but that is not very convenient. I will also not remove wicd because of this, as it is so much better than knetworkmanager that it is worth it.
The keys I pressed on the login screen can be seen in the virtual terminal number 7 after I kill kdm, so I guess the terminal somehow steals the focus from X.
Does anyone know how to solve this? Google wasn't much of a help here.
