Hello,

I am trying to create an icon to launch an command in konsole something like the screenshot attached.

I could do it in kubuntu 8.04 with kde 3.5 but i cant find a similiar option in kde 4.2

Right click on K.
Select Menu editor.
Select location for new entry and click New
Fill in the application info and select advanced.
Select Run in Terminal
and your done.

IFyou install the "Folder View" Plasmoid, which defaults to the Desktop view, its surface will behave the way the 3.5 desktop did. You can right click on it and use "Create New ---> Link to Application".

Or, you can add the "Quick Launch" plasmoid. It will install with three apps preinstalled. You can right mouse on it and add or remove application icons. Since your graphic showed you were using a desktop link, you can browse to your desktop folder and add that link to the Quick Launch tray.

I did it with the "Create New ---> Link to Application" on the desktop folder and it work fine.
