Should I really install this OO3 version found in the PPA repos?

Or is it just some candidate, not some actual release I should install on my system?

    Installed Version: 1:3.0.1-1ubuntu1~(hardy1 or intrepid1)
    Candidate Version: 1:3.0.1-7ubuntu1~(hardy1 or intrepid1)

What's the main difference here? OO.org didn't release any newer version, so, what's the need to update OO3?
    Multibooting: Kubuntu Noble 24.04
    Before: Jammy 22.04, Focal 20.04, Precise 12.04 Xenial 16.04 and Bionic 18.04
    Win XP, 7 & 10 sadly
    Using Linux since June, 2008

What's the "need" can only be answered by you. Uprades can be the result of 'bug' fixes, or some enhancement to function and/or form.

I know it sounds quite stupid, but I wished someone could tell me something about some important glitch they might have found in 3.0.1-1ubuntu1~(hardy1 or intrepid1) that would convince me of installing the upgrades... because I'm happy with OO3 as it is now... Maybe I haven't tested it under extremely stressed conditions yet, but I haven't seen any bug lately...

In some other topic I read I can lock an app's version so it doesn't get updated... but how can I be sure I'll find a major upgrade later if it's locked? I'm planning to lock it on both Kubuntu OS's... so it might be hard to notice when there'll be another, more interesting, more important update in the PPA repos...
