I used to love Gwenview, but as was the case for other KDE4 applications (adept comes to mind), the one that comes with KDE4 seems to have lost most of the good features
1) Where's the preview pane? I can't find any mention of it in the online manual and no combination of keys seems to open one. It was a nifty feature, why remove it?
2) Gwenview used to background-generate all the thumbnails for the directory being browsed, now I need to scroll down to actually generate them. What's the point of maintaining a permanent thumbnail cache (which is still mentioned in the options) if I have to scroll through 1500 Hubble image files to have the bloody thumbnails visible? After a few hundred times, the (admittedly short) pause before the thumbnails are visible every time I scroll down becomes quite annoying.
