Well, you should have the backports enabled in your sources list in Adept or Synaptic. The weird thing about this is that it this what other people recommended, but I could only update it if I had the launchpad-ppa enabled, too.Multibooting: Kubuntu Noble 24.04

I'm experiencing the same problem - all of the repos are enabled, but no update to 4.2.1 for me
