Cannot change user information: Permission Denied [solved]

I have just completed a fresh install (and many subsequent hours of upgrading) of Intrepid with KDE 4.2 and when I go to change my user information through systemsettings, I get an error that tells me the following:

    Code:
An error occurred and your password has probably not been changed. The error message was:
    chfn: Permission denied.
I am not trying to change my password, but rather trying to add more information. I've tried numerous times to make sure it wasn't me typing in my password wrong. Can anybody help?

I figured it out. As i was trying to change the name on the account, the command was:

    Code:
    sudo chfn -f newname userid
Where newname is the correct spelling of my previously mispelled name, and userid is my userid.
