    Cut/Copy buttons not working

Hey, this seems quite a stupid problem. But I couldn't find any solution for this. That is why I'm posting it here.

My Cut and Copy buttons are not working. When I click on cut/copy buttons it does not activate the paste button(in the context menu which i get when right clicked on a file)

Terminal cp command is working. And I can drag and drop too. But It is a pain without cut and copy buttons.
    Any solutions for this please.

    Thanks.

Doesn't anyone had a problem like this
I tried everything to find a solution for this. But couldn't
Without Cut/copy can't live with the computer, you know. I'm thinking to give up kubuntu and start using usual XP again.

    Any ideas please.......

If I'm understanding you correctly, when you select something and click on cut it does nothing?

Does it remove the selected item/text?

Have you tried using keyboard shortcuts?

Ctrl+C for Copy and Ctrl+X for Cut and Ctrl+v for Paste ?
In a world without walls and fences - who needs windows and gates?

I think the first thing to do is to check system settings to make sure your keyboard settings are correct.

I'm not at my linux box right now but IIRC you should find it in the "regional" part.

my problem is not with the keyboard. I can not copy using my mouse too+keyboard shortcuts.
It is a headache to me to use the OS like this.

Think I have to install kubuntu again
