I can't find many options of konqueror

Hallo:

I know that the default file browser for kubuntu es Dolphin, but I like konqueror (and is the main reason for using Kubuntu instead of Ubuntu).

With kde-3 and konqueror as file browser, left panel, I could find many options in services: cd:, dvd:, printers:, media:, ... Now I only can see applications and fonts.

I've been recommended to install kde 4.2, and kio packages, but the problem is the same.

Can any tell me if it is possible to install that options like kde 3?

As far as I can see there are at least the same options in the 4.2 version, have you tried to toggle the left Navigation Panel by F9?

I don't think all kio-slaves have been ported to Konqueror 4.2 yet.

A few protocols that work:

• fonts:/
• smb:/
• info:/
• applications:/
• camera:/
• desktop:/
• file:/
• remote:/
• settings:/
• zeroconf:/
• trash:/

Some protocols that don't seem to work:

• media:/
• audiocd:/

I'm not sure there's an easier way to access the services, but you can always type the protocol name in the address bar.
