    ZSNES sound issues

I recently installed zsnes and started playing with it. Everything runs fine accept the sound, which is choppy and distorted. I also tried virtualboyadvance and had the same problem. Strange thing is, I installed the windows equivalent of both these apps in wine and they run fine without a single issue. Seems rather odd to me that the linux versions would fail yet the emulated windows versions do not. Does anyone have any insight into this? Perhaps already solved it? Any help would be great as I think it rather sad I have to run them in wine to get them to work.

    Re: ZSNES sound issues

I actually managed to find a fix for it shortly after posting this, so I will share it with you all just in case someone else has the same problem. By default zsnes seems to have been using SDL for the sound system which is what was stuttering. By forcing it to use alsa, the sound was fixed.. not sure if this is possible with virtualboyadvance or not but it's a start.

    :~$ zsnes -ad alsa

Thank you srelysian for the post and for the fix !

I'll discuss the matter with my son, who is much more interested
in zsnes functioning than I am.

If any valuable info comes out, I'll let you know !
