Having issues with crazy crashes and display renderings.

After several hours my desktop crashes and funny symbols show up and flash, and sometimes show up in different colors. I have updated to 4.2, and it still does it. Any other ideas to resolve this?

When the display artifacts appear does your computer lock up as well? Are you still able to move the mouse and do things on the computer?

Locks up. I can't move anything.
