How KDE 4.2 was installed in my laptop? Problem with plasma :-(

    Hi guys.

Today I've updated my system, just like another days.

But when I've rebooted my system...a few hangs and, in my plasma notes...nothing (This object could not be created for the following reason: Could not find requested component: plasma_applet_notes), and I've so much useful information into my plasma notes! :-(

Looking for the problem, I saw KDE is now Version 4.2.00 (KDE 4.2.0), how can it be possible? For installing 4.2, I think I've to put deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/kubuntu-experimental/ubuntu intrepid main in my sources.list, but I haven't touch my sources list :-/

    Then, three questions:

    - How can I recover my plasma notes?

    - How was KDE 4.2 installed?

    - How could I install 4.1 again to recover the plasma and avoid my laptop hangs one time every ten minutes?

Thank you very much in advance, any help will be welcome :-)

I had the same problem. I removed all *plasma* packages. (dpkg -l |grep plamsa, and then dpkg -P <packagename>). Then I installed kubuntu-desktop which had disappeared for some reason?

I would make a backup of ~/.kde/share/config/plasma-appletsrc first.
