Firefox 3.0.5 quietly crashing in Kubuntu 8.10, KDE 4.2, Nvidia 180.22

Regularly I have Firefox crash (window just goes away). Finally caught some data by running it from a terminal. Here's what I got:

I don't think so, i frequently have this happen, so much so that at one point i installed another browser and swore never to use Ff again.

It doesn't seem to happen so frequently now-a-days as it did three or four months ago....

By the way, i'm running Hardy, 3.5.10.

The only add-ons i use are Adblock Plus 1.0.1, Brief 1.2, NoScript 1.9.0.4, Personal Menu 4.1.2, and Yet Another Smooth Scroller 2.0.18.

It seems to be more likely to happen with several tabs loaded, I assumed that maybe NoScript was tying it's knickers in a knot trying to halt several nondescript scripts.

That's good to know, dibl, but i'm wary of hacking initrd and grub.conf as things are running well at the moment, and i get tired of mending things which aren't broken (other than in my imagination).

If Ff does start quitting on a regular basis again i'll screw up my courage and try to not screw up the installation.

First - and I mean this seriously - is somebody paying you for all this help around here? (Maybe I'll have to take up a collection)

Second - why do you say it may be a gstreamer issue? I see that the thread you pointed to involved amarok. Not challenging - just want to learn something.
