Attaching images to emails in Thunderbird (SOLVED)

    Ho.

I've got a post on Mozillazine but with no luck re this item - perhaps some one here can give a hint.

Up to recently we've been attaching images to emails (using Thunderbird in Windoze) and have experienced no sizing problems. In Linux the images attach themselves and appear in the text and they are also HUGE!

Is there a simple way to attach images without them expanding to twice the size of the screen? (Slight exaggeration there but I hope you get the idea).

PS I do not want to have to re-install windows and run a dual system.

Teunis - thanks I've got the idea now.

I've installed the kipi packages as I assume that is where the options you describe are located.

Still an issue though because this version of kipi does not work with gwenview in kde 4 only 3. Apparently there is a beta kipi 'bundle' on Jaunty but I'm not into downloading beta stuff as I'm not sure I am up to the challenge!

    Thanks for your informative reply.

Re: Attaching images to emails in Thunderbird (Kinda SOLVED)

      Hi.

Teunis - did you use this repo for getting the Beta?

      https://launchpad.net/~digikam-experimental/+archive/ppa

For some reason Synaptic wont load it!

Otherwise anywhere else it would be safe to download from?

      Many thanks.

        Great stuff - thanks.

I've got the latest Digikam and the beta kipi-plugins - works like a dream (after a bit of faffing around)

        Thanks for the help Teunis.
