Adding Applications to the Panel (SOLVED)

    Hello.

For some reason I cannot get applications (icons) onto the Panel. I like Amarok, Open Office etc to be there. Widgets work ok but no 'add to' option or 'drag a bility' re this issue. Any ideas?

    Thanks.

Click the "Almond" at the right end, and choose "unlock widgets". Then you should be able to right click the package in the KMenu and choose "add to panel". When you're done adding them, better click the Almond again and "lock" the widgets.

      That wuz quick.

Yup that should work but it does not. Every 'right-click' just starts the applications and I have checked the mouse configuration in settings as far as I know.

The banner is cute on your sig.

          That's not right!

Hmmm, have you been fiddling with things in "system settings" -- maybe "keyboard and mouse" or anything like that? Something is definitely set up wrong, if right-click is launching packages.

          ... unless you're left-handed, I suppose ....

You must be using the old style menu, right click on the K menu icon and click on Switch to Kickoff Menu Style.
